NFLC-sponsored Pre-Conference Workshop:

E-Learning in Translation and Interpretation: Current Experience, Future Possibilities

This NFLC-hosted workshop is of particular interest to translation and interpreting program directors, faculty, and workplace supervisors who see the need for wider availability of professional development opportunities for translation and interpreting. The workshop will explore ways in which “best practices” in the teaching of translation and interpretation can be supported through interactive, multimedia materials -- whether in CD/DVD or on-line format. The workshop will:

Experience LangNet Yourself Pre-registered participants will receive temporary passwords to the LangNet system which currently has over 2400 hours of supported practice in Listening and Reading in some 16 languages, mostly at higher levels of proficiency. Demonstration DVD’s will also be provided at the workshop along with e-copies of handouts.
