Thank you participants for a successful conference!
Professional Education of 21st-Century Translators and Interpreters was held from September 9 - 11, 2005 on the campus of the Monterey Institute in downtown Monterey, CA. The conference was a celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Monterey Institute of International Studies and the 35th anniversary of the Graduate School of Translation and Interpretation, and it was a smashing success thanks to your participation and support.
We made it through the very ambitious schedule of plenary and breakout sessions
with grace, and I heard nothing but positive comments from the participants--it
was a uniquely rewarding, enriching, and collegial event.
The Organizing Committee has published the e-mail contact list to all participants, and we have updated the website with fuller versions of the abstracts presented at the sessions. The conference program and abstracts of the presentations are now posted on this website (see the Abstracts and Program sidebars). A selection of papers will also be published in the future.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact Ms. Christopherson at rachel.christopherson@miis.edu.
Sincerely,
Organizing Committee
